Every sentence in an encyclopedia needs a source that can carry it. We start there.

What we do

Six areas of work, all built around the same starting point: what independent sources actually say.

  • Wikipedia Article Creation

Research-driven Wikipedia article preparation based on reliable, independent sources and Wikipedia's content policies.

  • Wikipedia Notability Assessment

Review available coverage and identify whether the subject appears to meet relevant Wikipedia notability guidelines.

  • Article Remediation

Improve existing articles affected by sourcing, neutrality, promotional language, citation or compliance concerns.

  • Independent Media & PR

Help clients develop legitimate independent coverage through appropriate editorial and PR outreach.

  • Source & Citation Research

Identify relevant secondary sources and organize references that can support encyclopedic claims.

  • Encyclopedic Compliance

Review article structure, neutrality, sourcing, conflicts of interest and other Wikipedia-related compliance issues.

How a Wikipedia project runs

Five stages, in order. We don't move to drafting until the sources can support it.

  1. Eligibility Assessment

We review your existing independent coverage and assess the available evidence.

  2. Source Research

We identify reliable, independent secondary sources relevant to the subject.

  3. Editorial Development

We develop neutral, encyclopedic material based on verifiable sources.

  4. Compliance Review

We review sourcing, neutrality, citations, conflicts of interest and promotional language.

  5. Submission Support

Where appropriate, we assist with the submission process and help respond to editorial feedback.

Wikipedia articles are subject to community review and editorial decisions. No consultancy can guarantee that an article will be accepted or remain on Wikipedia.

Build a Stronger Independent Media Footprint

Wikipedia relies heavily on significant coverage from independent, reliable sources. For many subjects the gap isn't the article; it's that the coverage doesn't exist yet.

TrendsPresso assists with legitimate media and PR outreach across relevant publications and markets, built on stories that have real news value: achievements, expertise, research, and public interest.

Media coverage cannot be manufactured simply for Wikipedia purposes. Our approach focuses on legitimate editorial opportunities and independent coverage based on genuine newsworthiness, expertise, achievements and public interest.

We don't promise placement in any specific outlet. Editorial decisions belong to each publication.

  • Media strategy
  • Editorial outreach
  • Press relations
  • Thought-leadership opportunities
  • Founder and company storytelling
  • Industry coverage
  • International media outreach
  • Source development
  • Reputation-focused communications

About TrendsPresso

TrendsPresso is a global editorial and communications consultancy focused on Wikipedia research, encyclopedic compliance, independent media strategy and source development.

We work with individuals, organizations and companies seeking to better understand Wikipedia's requirements and strengthen their public information footprint through legitimate editorial channels.

When the sources aren't there yet, we say so, and explain what kind of coverage would matter. That conversation is often the most valuable part of the work.

Questions clients ask

Can you guarantee a Wikipedia page?

No. Wikipedia is independently edited, and article acceptance depends on Wikipedia's policies, sourcing and editorial review. TrendsPresso can assist with research, drafting, sourcing and submission support, but cannot guarantee acceptance.

Can you guarantee Wikipedia publication?

No. Publication, and whether an article stays published, is decided by Wikipedia's volunteer community under its own policies. Any article can later be edited, tagged or nominated for deletion by other editors. Anyone offering a guarantee is promising something they don't control.

What makes someone notable on Wikipedia?

The general standard is significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. "Significant" means the sources discuss the subject directly and in detail, not a passing mention. Wikipedia also has subject-specific guidelines for people, companies and organizations, academics, musicians, books, films and other areas, which set out what evidence tends to matter in each.

Can press releases establish Wikipedia notability?

Generally, no. Press releases, sponsored or paid content, company websites, social media and interviews where the subject mostly speaks for themselves are not independent of the subject. They can sometimes verify simple facts, but they cannot substitute for significant independent coverage.

Can you create a page for my company?

Only if the company meets Wikipedia's notability requirements for organizations, which are applied strictly. We start with an assessment of existing coverage. If the sources are there, we can help prepare neutral, encyclopedic material; promotional or marketing-style content is not appropriate on Wikipedia and is usually removed.

What happens if my existing Wikipedia article has problems?

We review the article against its sources and Wikipedia's policies: unsupported claims, outdated or weak citations, neutrality issues, promotional tone and maintenance tags. We then recommend and help prepare improvements, and where there is a conflict of interest, we follow Wikipedia's disclosure expectations, such as proposing changes on the article's talk page.

Can you remove negative information from Wikipedia?

Not simply because it is unfavorable. Wikipedia content is governed by reliable sources and editorial policy. If material is inaccurate, unsourced, misrepresents its sources or gives undue weight to a minor issue, there are legitimate ways to raise that with the community, and we can help you prepare a well-sourced, policy-based request. Accurate, well-sourced information generally stays.

Do you provide PR?

Yes. We offer media strategy, editorial outreach, press relations and thought-leadership support focused on genuine news value. The aim is legitimate independent coverage, not paid placements dressed up as journalism.

Do you guarantee media publication?

No. Editorial decisions belong to individual publications, their editors and journalists. We can help you find the right story and the right outlets, but we don't promise coverage.

Are you affiliated with Wikipedia?

No. TrendsPresso is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Wikimedia Foundation or Wikipedia.
